The Alley Cat -- Kingston, NY

The Alley Cat is a relatively new place located in Uptown.  It looks dark from the outside, and it still looks dark from the inside, though I have to say I like their choice of lighting at the bar.  A bar/restaurant, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable.  How is the commode?

We have art, people.  this is over the commode, as you can tell by the grab bar.  I still don't understand why everyone now puts a grab bar behind the toilet.  Is this for guys who are too drunk to stand straight?  People who are throwing up so they don't have to hug the toilet?  Maybe someone can explain this to me.

The combination of light walls and dark wainscoting make for an elegant feel without being too pretentious.

The white of the tiolet paper roll against the dark wood and fixture just seemed quite elegant as well.  I do have to say that their tp is going the wrong way, but I'll let it slide.  The only issue I did have with this restroom: no hook.  Easy enough to fix if they wanted to.

All in all, well pleased with this uptown restroom.  The Alley Cat is a nice place to while away some time with friends.
